This latest touch screen handset joins the original Samsung Galaxy i7500 and although was dubbed as a 'lighter' version of the previous model it still retains much of the technology of its bigger brother.
Powering this sleek new device is an 800MHz processor which is one of the fastest available in any Android handset, there is also a large 3.2 inch touch screen which makes for easy one touch navigation through the phones menu and features.
This 3.5G data supportive phone also offers a 3.2 mega pixel camera which although is not on a par with the majority of 5.0 mega pixel phones available does keep the price down, also included is WiFi for connections on the move, GPS for route finding and navigation and access to the Android market with thousands of new applications and games for download.
This new Samsung handset was originally released as the Samsung Galaxy Spica last year in its black colour format on T-Mobile pay monthly deals, however now this new phone can be purchased in a cool white finish with green accents on Virgin Mobile deals.
There has been a raft of new Android phones released of late that directly compete with this Samsung model, these include the likes of the Motorola Milestone which is more advanced in some areas and also incorporates a slide out keyboard, the LG GW620 which also offers the physical keyboard alongside a 5.0 mega pixel camera and the Sony Ericsson X10 which is set top be the most advanced.
